We’re the University of Bristol Students’ Union – you’ll know us as Bristol SU. Bristol SU is the world’s only charity focused solely on making the lives of University of Bristol students the best they can be. We are a Union for all students, here to make sure every one of you has a great time in our incredible city, no matter who you are, or what you like . We’re the home of student groups, volunteering, intramural sport, academic advice, campaigns, lettings, student democracy, representation and events . Bristol SU is led by student representatives elected by you, who campaign, advocate and ensure students remain at the heart of everything the University does.

The Library

The University Library is made up of eight libraries located in or near the relevant faculty or school, and employs just over 150 staff. The library provides access to and support for millions of research and learning resources in print and online. We are committed to providing high-quality facilities and services to enrich scholarship at the University.

Welcome to active life at Bristol

Welcome to Sport, Exercise and Health at the University of Bristol. We work together with the University and Bristol SU to provide a range of opportunities for students to participate in sport and physical activity. Whether it's weekly gym session or a fitness class, or representing the University in competitive sport, we will support you in finding your favourite way to stay active during your time at Bristol. B:Active is a programme of social fitness and sport sessions, exclusively for Bristol students. Our wide range of sessions are all completely free, suitable for all abilities and you can find us in multiple locations across Campus and Residences.
